What makes the Traditional veggie meal so special?
Kuzhambu.
Sambar, Vaththa Kuzhambu and Mor Kuzhambu tops the list of most popular kuzhambu’s in our chef’s kitchen. The masala for the Sambar will be grinded freshly every time as part of Sambar preparation and we prefer not to use the readymade Sambar Powder. Vaththa Kuzhambu is the spicier version of the Kuzhambu made using Pepper and vadagam. Mor Kuzhambu is yet another popular kuzhambu made using butter milk and coconut.The other special Kuzhambu's from our side include Poricha Urulai Kuzhambu, Urundai Kuzhambu, Kara Kuzhambu and Milagu Kuzhambu.
Rasam.
It’s a tangy soup with the richness of pepper, cumin seeds, and turmeric. A sneak peak to the rasam variety with us is the Paruppu (Tomato) Rasam is a most popular Rasam followed by Milagu Jeeraga Rasam and much more. Milagu Jeeraga Rasam has a good medicinal property and hence recommended in case of sickness or fever.
Poriyal / Curry.
It’s a dry curry made from varieties of vegetables. It could be the best supplement while you have your rice and the kuzhambu/rasam.
Kootu.
Kootu is typically less watery than sambhar, but more so than dry poriyal. It is noted for its nutty and complex flavors and textures, likely owing to the liberal addition of lentils and coconuts.
Thayir Sadham.
No meal is not complete without Thayir Sadham. The delicate and mild flavored curd rice (also known as thayir sadam or yogurt rice) is a befitting finale to a sumptuous spicy meal.
Pickle.
Curd rice is often being served with pickles. Mango Pickle and Lemon Pickle are the most popular pickles. These pickles will be prepared in home and preserved for longer period of time!
